Cost: $32/month (4 classes), $64/month (8 classes), or $10/class for drop-ins (space permitting--prior permission required.)

 

*Practical Stress Management Techniques   Fun, Easy, Relaxing ways to lift your mood & boost your resilience

Managing Your Mood (choosing Positivity): We'll talk about ways to reframe your approach to life so your life feels better to you.

Emotional Freedom Techniques: Learn the basics of EFT to clear anger, fear, resentment, pain, guilt, trauma, etc., etc., etc

Conscious Breathing: Discover how to use conscious breathing to improve your sense of well-being.

Design Your Environment: Guided meditations to help you identify and connect with your sensory passports to happiness. We’ll explore sights, sounds, smells, tastes and physical sensations that increase your sense of well-being, and then talk about how to include more of these things into your workplace and home.

Gentle Movement Explorations for Stress Release: Standing and sitting, with music and conscious breathing.

Laughter’s the Best Medicine: First, learn some innovative exercises to help you laugh for no reason, then share your favorite jokes, book excerpts, pictures, recordings and stories to tickle our collective funny bones.

Gentle Movement Explorations for Deep Relaxation: Mostly lying down, with music and conscious breathing.

Meditation and Gratitude Practice: Easy, individualized instruction in the art of quieting your mind, soothing your emotions and opening your heart.

*Weight Management with EFT  A 4-part series of 90-minute workshops to reset your weight clock. Emotional Freedom Techniques, known as EFT, uses acupressure tapping and guided mental focus to address problems ranging from emotional distress to physical pain to sub-optimal body weight or sports performance. In clinical use, its success rate averages an amazing 90%.

In this workshop series, you will learn the basics of EFT and then apply them to dissolve roadblocks to achieving and maintaining your optimal weight. You may get quick and lasting relief in our group sessions (personal ‘sharing’ is optional), or you may find you need more time to work with it by yourself. Regardless, you’ll take home a tool you’ll use for life. This series is just a beginning, but it can be a powerful door-opener to the life you want!

Session 1) Introduction to EFT What it is, a theory about how it works, case histories, Borrowing Benefits, learning the Basic Recipe.

Session 2) How does my current weight serve me? You always have a good reason for being the way you are, either mentally, physically or emotionally. This session helps you explore and reframe the beliefs you hold that keep you where you are. 

Session 3) What else has to change? The primary regulator for your weight is your mind. However, there are other factors. We'll discuss practical behavioral changes to support optimal weight and then use EFT to dissolve cravings and release resistance to those changes.

Session 4) Trusting myself, trusting the process. Being different is a process, not a condition. Feeling different results in being different. In this session we'll work on developing greater self-acceptance no matter what you are living. This is the prerequisite for creating the life and the body you want. 

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.  Thursdays, January 10 - 31 and February 7 - 28 at The Orchard Studio.
