5:15 - 6:15 p.m. Intro to Medieval and Rennaissance Medical Theory -- While holistic medicine is often considered to be a modern and/or Eastern discipline, there is actually a strong holistic foundation in historical Western medical practice. This 60-minute workshop will cover Galenic medical theory, historical Western herbalism, the perceived power of prayer and religion in healing, and other Medieval and Renaissance ideas and practices. Presented by Ruth Frey, from Realms of Avalon, a nonprofit historical reenactment and educational organization.

6:30 - 8:00 p.m. NIA with Ashley Martens. NIA combines dance, yoga and martial arts into a healing movement form for the whole body. The focus for this workshop will be moving with dynamic ease. NIA is for every body shape and size. It's a mind-body-spirit celebration! Wear loose or stretchy, comfortable clothing; no shoes necessary. Suggested donation: $5.

11:30 - 12:45 Introduction to Ayurveda  Ayurveda is a healing system of ancient India that predates modern yoga by 5,000 years. Andrea Bussinger, a certified Yoga Teacher, will present a 60-minute workshop on this "life wisdom" that connects us to earth, water, fire, air, and the perfect balance of nature. You will learn how to determine and balance your unique dosha, enhance self-acceptance, and improve health. Donations accepted.

1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Enhancing Your Clairvoyance with Linda Kingsbury. Clear seeing or Clairvoyance helps you to put your Spirit in charge of your life. You will learn specific timed tested techniques of Grounding which is the foundation for safely building your spiritual awareness. When you are grounded you make a home for your Spirit in your body. You will have better control of all your abilities and your creativity. These easy to practice skills improve focus, energy levels, your manifestations, and psychic safety. She also teaches an all levels yoga class at the University of Idaho. Yoga for Wellness will be a class based on the Iyengar style and will be great for all levels of yogis! 4:00 - 5:30 Elder Initiation Ceremony  This ceremony honors men and women who are entering old age, recognizes their gifts, and encourages them to share their gifts. 9:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. Japanese Reiki Level 1 with Reiki Master-Teachers, Jim Johnson and April Rubino.

The Okugi School of Reiki, which is the teaching component of Palouse Reiki, invites you to join a unique style of Reiki called Usui Reiki Ryoho. If your interest is in getting back to what was taught in Japan before it hit the West in 1938 and became "westernized' in the 1980s - then this is the course for you!

Shoden, or First Degree Reiki, is a Japanese word meaning 'first teachings'. As the word implies a beginning connection to the Reiki System is achieved during this course. This level teaches how to feel Ki (energy), how to connect to Earth, Heaven and Heart Ki and how to use Reiki as a practice in personal healing. A system of hand placements is taught along with a technique to feel energy in the aura or energy body. The history of Reiki and how it came to the west is discussed. The Three Pillars of Reiki, the Three Diamonds, and the Reiki Precepts, which are tools for living are taught and students are encouraged to use these tools daily. Rather than being external tools - the techniques taught at the Shoden Level focus on internal use for self–healing and spiritual development. The student will also receive the reiju (attunement) that connects the student to the Universal Energy (Ki) that is inherent to Shoden.
